What is a Christian?

A Christian is someone who has made a choice to believe Jesus Christ is their Lord, and was raised from the dead ( Rom 10:9-10; Acts 16:31 ). Once that happens, God sees the person’s heart ( 1 Sam 16:7 ) that they meant what they said, and then God CREATES a alive spirit in that person ( Eph 4:24; Jn 3:1-7 ), and they are now identified by the Holy Spirit, by their spirit that they are god’s child ( Rom 8:16 ).

How many times do you need to repeat this process?

Once! ( Heb 6:1-6; Eph 2:8-9 ), No one is saved because of their actions, ALL of the sins of the world are paid for ( 1 Jn 2:2; Eph 2:8-9; Col 2:13; Heb 10:1-10 ). Actions are YOUR responsibility to learn how to live ( Rom 12:1-2; Gal 5:16; Deut 10:13 ). Where is the accountability with that? ( Deut 30:19;10:13 )- God has a good life here when you choose his ways. If don’t, the results are negative. Have not seen anyone yet agree that they enjoy negative life, ( so there is the accountability, a good life here ). All that believe have the desire to live for God in them ( 1 Jn 3:3 ), so if a believer is struggling with sin, they are deceived ( 1 Cor 15:33; Rom 12:1-2 ), and sin should not be pleasant in them, it should be miserable ( Eph 4:30; 1 Thess 5:19 ). Some take longer than others, but the love of God, and his goodness, causes believers to repent, not fear ( 2 Cor 5:14; Rom 2:4; Titus 2:11-12 ). There is no such thing as I backslide, so I need to receive Jesus again ( Heb 6:1-6 ). Once saved, you’re saved ( 1 Jn 2:19 ), If didn’t mean it from heart, ONLY God knows, and you were never saved if you CHOOSE, not actions, to renounce faith ( 1 Jn 2:19 ). Believers that never come to the mature place of obedience, I would leave it in God’s hands, cause only he see’s heart ( 1 Sam 16:7 ). Unpaid, and unforgiven sins qualify people for hell not lifestyle ( Col 2:13; Eph 1:7; Isa 40:2; 2 Cor 5:19; Rom 4:8 ). All people want good lifestyle, weather they say so or not. People in jail, want out. Those addicted to drugs, etc, want out. That’s why there are programs, doctors, etc to try to get people out. Never had a person agree that they enjoy negative life when I teach.

How do you become Christian?

Confess with your mouth, and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, and raised from the dead ( Rom 10:9-10; Acts 9:4-5 ).Example- ( doesn’t have to be word for word, but just example )- “ Lord Jesus I receive you in my life today”
