Believers, and money
Attitude believers should have towards money!
Only basis, reason, why, because, we are the rich, and we can believe God to be rich, is 3 fold, because, Jesus became poor, FOR OUR SAKES, so we can be rich ( 2 Cor 8:9 ); TO establish his kingdom on earth ( Deut 8:18 ), then his covenant with us is, HE TAKES CARE OF you ( 2 Cor 9:6-10; 1 Cor 9:9; Philip 4:19 ); War a good warfare ACCORDING to these verses concerning financially prospering in the kingdom of God ( 1 Tim 1:18 );
MOST IMPORTANT part about prosperity- give, be a steward of what’s God’s, to establish his kingdom, and he takes care of you ( Deut 8:18; Acts 20:35; Gens 22:14; Lk 16:1-13 ); The labor is WORTHY, of his reward, money! ( 1 Tim 5:17-18; 1 Cor 9:1-23; ); God counts what’s left after giving ( Mk 12:41-44 );
Scripture- What we learn about money from scripture; Jesus- ( Lk 8:3 )- Jesus received money to support his ministry from 3 woman; ( Jn 13:29 )- Judas was in charge of the money bag of the disciples ministry, and they gave to the poor; Romans- ( Rom 15:26 )- Paul received from Macedonia, and Achaia, to give to poor church at Jerusalem; Corinthians– ( 1 Cor. 4:11-12; 9:1-6; Acts 18:3 )- Paul, Barnabas worked while ministering; ( 1 Cor 9:7,9,14 )- God takes care of his labors; ( 1 Cor 9:17-19 )- If teach and receive no money, you have your reward, being able to work for God, is it; ( 1 Cor 16:1-6 )- Set aside systematically to give to struggling churches; ( 2 Cor 8:3 )- wanted to, but didn’t; ( 2 Cor 8:11 )- need to actually do it; ( 2 Cor 8:14-15: Ex 16:18 )- suppose to be equality, when done this way; Not to much, not less; ( 2 Cor 9:5 )- be ready to give, put money aside; ( 2 Cor 9:6 )- give bountifully, reap bountifully; give sparingly, reap sparingly; ( 2 Cor 9:7 )- give according to cheerful heart, not grudgingly; ( 2 Cor 9:11-15 )- when give, receivers give glory to God; ( 2 Cor 11:7-8 )- Paul received from other churches ( robbed sarcastic statement v1 ) to help pay for trip to Corinth; ( 2 Cor 12: 13-16 )- Again, Paul didn’t receive personal offering from Corith; Philippians- ( Philip 1:5; 4:14-16 )- Philippians gave to Paul a lot, only church whole time, from beginning to end; ( Philip 4:17-19 )- Because of that, God supplied all their need; Thessalonians- ( 1 Thess 2:9 )- Again, Paul labored while ministering; Timothy- ( 1 Tim 5:17-18 )- Those that teach God’s word are worthy of double honor; ( 1 Tim 6:17-18 )- Rich, then don’t trust in riches, trust in God;
POVERTY- Is used negative in scripture ( Prov 6:11; 10:15; 11:24; 13:18; 14:23; 20:13; 23:21; Eccl 5:8; );
God is faithful to His word ( 2 Cor 1:20; 2 Tim 2:13; Isa 55:10-11 )
Jesus has performed all the work for you to be prosperous ( Rom 5:1-2; Titus 2:11-12; 2 Cor 8:9 )
Anything with God is by fellowship ( 1 Cor 1:9; 1 Jn 1:3 ); The Holy Spirit making it real to you ( Ps 119:99; 1 Cor 2 ); mixing the word with faith, to profit ( Heb 4:2 ); enjoying God, which is WHY you, were, and people, things are created ( Rev 4:11 ); Not seeking money, SEEK PROVIDER ( Gens 22:14 );
When you became a believer, born of God, you overcame the world’s issues; enforce by faith! ( 1 Jn 5:4 ), find out what God said in His word about money, and read it, think it, meditate on it, speak it, act on it, be, is, are, now, live it, JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH ( Rom 1:17; Gal 3:11; Heb 10:38; Hab 2:4 ), your ONLY NEED to live by faith, is to know what God has said in His word, and do it ( James 1:21-25; Lk 1:37-38; 4:4; Acts 17:28 ); Anything against that, resist it; GIVING and GOOD STEWARDSHIP are co-power laws in prosperity, for the reason of having all for ABOUNDING IN GOOD WORKS ( 2 Cor 9:6-10 ), giving to where you are GROWING SPIRITUALLY ( Gal 6:6 ), and others IN NEED with wisdom ( Ps 112:9 ); trust God is working behind scenes, because with money, it takes more than just you; use money as a tool, to reach the world, in the kingdom of God!
( James 2:12-26 ) faith without works is dead, so you give, as an act of faith, because you believe the Bible, and trust God will take care of you in return ( Matt 6:33; 2 Cor 9:6-10 );
God gives every believer power to get WEALTH, be rich, abundance, lots, etc, to establish His kingdom, and the WEALTH of sinners, Oprah, Bill Gates, Jay-Z, etc is stored up for believers ( Deut 8:18; Prov 13:22 ); Then by-product is HE TAKES CARE OF US, and gives us things to enjoy ( 1 Tim 6:17; Matt 6:33 ); don’t judge harvest, house, car, etc, until you know a person’s seeds, he that sow bountifully, shall reap bountifully( 2 Cor 9:6 );
Time, again, seed, timeeeeeeeee, harvest, it has been a promise of God since creation ( Gens 1:11; 9:22 ); and is a parable that if you don’t get, you will get no parable ( Mk 4:13-14-28; Lk 8:11-15; Matt 13:19-22; Jn 15 ), you ALREADY HAVE everything you need financially provided by Jesus at the cross ( 2 Cor 9:8 ), so you already have power to produce wealth in your spirit ( Deut 8:18; 2 Cor 5:17; 1 Cor 2:16 ), so as you sow God’s word for wealth, seeds ( Lk 8:11 ), you are sowing to your spirit ( Gal 6:7-9 ) which is joined together with Holy Spirit ( 1 Cor 6:17 ), to reap life everlasting; In stages as with theses parables, then when you get to the last stage, it’s still stages, 30,60,100 fold; God’s word’s is a seed, which produces after its own kind, in herself, in this case, prosperity seeds of scripture, harvest prosperity in your life, and always of itself ( Gens 1 ); and it is incorruptible ( 1 Pet 1:23 ); God’s formula is designed for proactive, not reactive, even though you can still receive reactivly; make a commitment to God’s word, and DON’T QUIT; NO PLAN B!
Walking in Divine prosperity, is better than living by financial miracles ( Ps 35:27 )
What if I need a miracle ? 1. Stand on God’s word, put Him in remembrance of His word, and have a need, sow a seed ( Lk 6:38; Isa 43:26; Ps 118:25; 1 Kings 17:7-16; Mk 12:41-44; Acts 20:35; Mal 3:10; Gens 22:1-14; James 2:21-23 ) give your last, and try God; God works in proportions, so if give your last, that’s 100% to God, which leads to 100% return; 2. If been sowing, believe God for a miracle ( Matt 17:27; Jn 6:5-12 );
DeAndre Ivory- Your attitude with money should be ” I’m a steward of what’s yours Lord, and I honor you with every cent to the dollar, at my disposal to give, and good stewardship, and you will take care of me “
God works in proportions ( Mk 12:41-44; Lk 6:38; ), point, don’t say ” if I had this much I would…..” if you have 10 dollars you can give 8, and that’s 80% to God, which leads to a 180% return;
Prosperity like anything else in God’s kingdom is appropriated by Faith ( Heb 11:6 ), the only difference with money, is its NEVER JUST YOU; So trust God is working behind the scenes, and use people to resist devil, tell about it to other’s, when people ‘s mouths are against your prospering, resist it! speak against it, and speak what God says ( Isa 54:17 ), or use people as a way to bless ( Acts 20:35 ); use money as a tool to respond to the promises of God concerning money, and manage it godly ( Lk 6:38 );
Out of love, not debt, key to prospering in God’s kingdom is, love is motive ( 1 Cor 13; Gal 5:6 ); giving ( 2 Cor 8:6-10; Acts 20:35; Mal 3:10-11; Lk 11:42 ); and stewardship ( Lk 12:42-48; Lk 16:1-13; Lk 19:12-27; 1 Cor 4:2 ) which is acting on it ( James 2:18; 4:7, you submit to God, resist devil by doing ); then speak it ( Ps 119;172; Deut 30:14, 2 Cor 4:13; Rom 4:17 )
God wants all believers rich ( 2 Cor 8:9 ), but God doesn’t want us rich for no reason ,He takes pleasure in us trusting Him with money, and letting Him prosper us ( Ps 35:27 ) its the fact if we give, and manage His kingdom well, it’s a spiritual law ( Rom 3:27 ), to return what we give and steward MORE, it’s a seed harvest system ( Mk 4:13-27 );
I’ll say it again, God’s wants every believer rich, wealthy ( Prov 13:22; Deut 8:18; 2 Cor 8:9; Ps 112:3; ), not for you for others to establish His kingdom on earth; Then, God takes care of you as a by-product ( Matt 6:33; 2 Cor 9:6-10; ), if you sow big, buy people houses, cars, etc, God promises to reap big, your lifestyle!
I’ll say it again, GIVING, STEWARDSHIP, are power prosperity twins, because God wants people taking care of people that are helping them grow, GIVE ONLY TO PEOPLE THAT HELP YOU GROW SPIRITUALLY ( Gal 6:6 Phillip 4:14-19; Deut 28:8 ), Then God takes care of you ( Lk 6:38 );
STYLE IS NOT SIN; NEVER JUDGE A PERSONS HARVEST, IF YOU DON’T KNOW THEIR SEED; he that sow bountifully, shall reap bountifully ( 2 Cor 8:6 )
We are stewards of what’s His ( Lk 16:1-13; 19:12-27 )
Give to who teaches you ( Gal 6:6 )
( 1 Cor 13 ) Love is always the motive!
( Deut 8:18 ) Money is to establish God’s kingdom, as it is this day! How is it this day, God can provide for you to help His kingdom to grow! the by-product of that is needs met ( Phililp 4:19, 1 Tim 5:8 )
God wants you prosperous ( 3 Jn 2, Ps 35:27, 2 Cor 8:9 )
( Matt 13:8 ) – The Kingdom of God k, like the 401 k, 30, 60, 100 fold
( I Tim 6:17-18 ) in your return from giving, trust in God, and he gives us things to enjoy
( 2 Cor 9:6-10 ) Giving is the key, give to people that are helping you grow! God promises a return, more than what you gave!
( Lk 12:42-48, 16:1-13, 19:12-27 ) stewardship is key as well!
Give bountifully, reap bountifully ( 2 Cor 9:6 )!
Verses to encourage that it’s God’s will to be financially blessed ( Ps 35:27; 115:14; 112:3; 30:6 ) ( Prov 8:21; 10:22; 13:22 ) ( 2 Cor 8:9 ) ( 1 Tim 6:17-18 ) ( Lk 6:38 ) ( Mk 10:30 )
( Gal 6:6 ) – Give where you are growing spiritually from, ONLY!
(Lk 12:15)- “means”- Jesus says that the good life has nothing to do with being wealthy, having lots of money, so be on guard against greed ( desire for what we don’t have ) this is the exact opposite of what society usually says. Advertisers spend billions of dollars to entice(allure,tempt) us to think that if we buy more of their product, we will be happier, prosper, comfortable,etc. How do us Christians suppose to respond to this? We should learn to tune out expensive enticements, and learn to concentrate instead on the truly good life, which is – living in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and doing his will.
Biblical wealth – is having available all the tools, knowledge, fiances, available that are needed to accomplish God’s purpose for your life
Biblical success – Is living God’s purpose for your life
Poverty is an oppression ( Eccl 5:8 ); Jesus, even though He was rich, through His poverty, becoming poor, we were made rich ( 2 Cor 8:9 )
( Jn 10:10 ) – abundant life in Greek is MORE THAN SEE ANY WAY TO USE; more than enough; so the Lord wants ALL believers to have more than enough
( 2 Cor 9:8 ) ANY wealthy, rich believer is so they can put out the gospel, and bless others; as long as getting rich is NOT THE GOAL; God is not afraid to bless people with lots of money; how rich you get I think, is according to your vision!
As long as you’re growing spiritually, physically, emotionally; God likes to see you enjoying life ( 1 Tim 6:17 ) make sure your heart is right ( James 5:1-5 )
Giving is the key to prospering in the kingdom of God; ( Lk 6:38 ) ( Prov 11:24 ) ( 2 Cor 9:6-10 )
Happiness is now, faithful Christians are content; the WORLD teaches that you should live in the future or the past; GOD says live in the NOW; people in the world want 2,000 than they get that and want 20,000; they get 200,000, and want 2 million etc; so live ,and be content, and live in the NOW
There are some 500 verses on prayer and fewer than 500 verses on faith; there are more than 2,000 verses in Scripture on money! Jesus is concerned about our attitude toward money
It doesn’t matter WHAT you have; it’s what you DO WITH it that counts
( 1 Cor 4:2 ) – means you have to be trusted with 5 dollars before you ask God for 5,000 dollars; prove trusted with the little things before you can receive the big things
(Deut 8: 18) – God gives us the power to produce wealth; so if you’re enjoying wealth, because of business, sports, inventions, etc, the knowledge, and skills, and doors that opened were all cause a loving, and caring God has giving YOU power to produce your wealth; it’s not your own power, and skills; so put pride aside, and thank God for the power to produce wealth;
AREAS OF GIVING- This section has to do with a BALANCE, not in one ditch or the other, when it comes to different areas in life with what we do with our money, according to God; God deals with proportions ( Mk 12:41-44 ), you don’t have be rich to give lots, what are you doing with WHAT YOU HAVE;
AREAS OF GIVING- Tithe! ( Done first )
( Mal 3:8-10 )-means- has to do with tithe; you tithe to a LOCAL church, if feeding you spiritually ( Gal 6:6 ), to help church bills, and Pastor’s salary, etc, as unto God ( Deut 8:18; Matt 25:40; 1 Tim 5:17-18 ); This verse has to do with law, we are redeemed from law, but you can benefit from this verse when God says prove me, if you tithe, you will be blessed; When you tithe to a local church body, or partner with one of the 5 ministries ( storehouses ), God promises, to command the blessing onto you ( Deut 28:8 ), and all that you set your hand onto is blessed; like everything else with God, it’s an act of faith, taking responsibility for God’s blessings; GOD IS NOT HOLDING IT AGAINST YOU, OR HE’S NOT MAD AT YOU; HE JUST WANTS YOUR MOTIVE TO BE GIVE OUT OF LOVE NOT FEAR! PAYING TITHES OR NOT DOES NOT DETERMINE IF GOD BLESSES YOU; GOD HAS ALREADY BLESSED YOU, NO MATTER WHAT; FAITH IS YOUR RESPONSE TO WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY DONE ( 2 Cor 9: 7 ) and tithe NOT of necessity, or with a bad attitude; tithe with grace, with a cheerful heart;
God makes sure you’re taking care of, when you tithe, and take care of people teaching, preaching His word; ( 1 Cor 9:9; Matt 6:33; Phillip 4:19; Prov 3:9-10 );
Tithe is showing your comment to His promise, and honor to God ( Prov 3:9-10 )
Why New testament ( Acts- Rev) didn’t teach tithe? Jesus did ( Lk 11:42 ), but After gospels because, Paul, and others focused on giving from heart, IF heart leads to tithe, it can be a good thing; plus like I said before, GENTILES, were not under the law ( Rom 2:14-16 ), never for us, but if in old testament, and it testifies to grace, then you can benefit from it, which is why should tithe from heart! Just like 10 commandments, 600 something odd laws of old testament are fulfilled in New testament by Love God, and neighbors as self ( Mk 12:30-31 ); tithe in old testament is fulfilled in New by giving not of necessity, or grudgingly, but cheerful, and according to heart ( 2 Cor 9:6-10 ); Example- just like thou shall not kill is of the law in old, and we love our neighbors in the new, so we will not kill because of love; tithe is the old, so we will tithe in the new with giving; can keep 10 percent of the first whole amount of what was earned, NOT just money, includes other things besides money!
New Testament tithe ( Gens 14: 20 ) ( Gens 28:20-22 ), Abraham, and Jacob tithe, BEFORE the law was given, so tithe is a biblical not law old testament principle ( Heb 7:1-11 ); that’s where the percentage as a start for new testament comes from; Also ( Lk 11:42 ) Jesus told the Pharisees, not to leave tithe undone, but to do it with a good heart; ( 1 Cor 16:2 ) is where we get the systematic part of tithe in new testament! Also ( Heb 7:5 ), priest were commanded by law to take tithes then, so even though not under law today ( Rom 6:14 ), still can use principle if edifying ( 1 Cor 6:12; 10:23 );
Why 10 percent, not 20, 30, etc; the Greek word for tithe is ” dekate “; it means a tenth part, and the first part of a whole; if you know math, 10, 100, 1000, etc are whole numbers, so it represents the whole of something; 10 is the first of the whole; tithe is a starting point!
AREAS OF GIVING- Partnering with one of 4 out of 5, not Pastors, because that’s a local church position, ministries in! ( Eph 4:11-13 ); ( Done first )
Living financially from teaching word; ( Phillips 4:14-19 )- Teachers, evangelist, prophet’s, apostles, don’t usually have a set LOCAL church body; these four usually operate as traveling ministries, and like in these Philippines verses, people supported them financially, by partnership, so they can concentrate on ministering the word, and not need a another income of money, to establish God’s kingdom, and live financially; ( 1 Cor 9:9;14; Deut 8:18; Acts 2:42-47; 6:1-4 ); The Philippine church took care above need of Paul, and God took care of those people’s needs; ( Rom 15:26-27 )- Paul wanted to collect for poor saints in Jerusalem; ( 2 Cor 12:14-16 )- Again, Paul did not burden Corinthians, and not go there, because they couldn’t pay for his trip; IT’S GOD’S WILL THAT THEY THAT TEACH, LIVE FINANCIALLY ACCORDING TO MINISTRY- ( 1 Tim 5:17-18; 1 Cor 9:9; 14 ); ( Gal 6:6 )- give where being fed spiritually!
Did Jesus get paid for ministry? Yes ( Lk 8:3 ); why, because ministers should spend their TIME, ministering, not working a job, and ministering if possible; Nothing wrong with working and ministering, just would have more time to do what you are called to do;
Working while in ministry-( 1 Cor 9:6-14 )- Paul, and Barnabas worked to support their ministry ( Acts 18:3 ); Didn’t take personal offering from Corinthians, ( 1 Cor 4:11-12; 9:1-14 ), so it wouldn’t hinder gospel, ( 1 Cor 9:12 ), or didn’t take money from Thessalonians ( 1 Thess 2:9; 2 Thess 3:7-9 );But did from Corinthians for ministry on their journey ( 1 Cor 16:1-2,6; ), and Paul took from other churches to get to Corith ( 2 Cor 11:7-8 ); ( 1 Cor 9:15-18 )- Paul said if he do it voluntarily, then he must get paid, but because God trust him, since they could not help him financially, his reward is of the Lord in teaching his truth; IT’S ALSO GOD’S WILL TO WORK WHILE IN MINISTRY, UNTIL MINISTRY SUPPORTS FINANCIALLY- ( Acts 18:3; 1 Cor 9:6 ); ( Gal 6:6 )- give where being fed spiritually;
( 2 Cor 8;9 )- Basis of New testament living financially; v 8:1-8- Corinthians wanted to, never did; v 8: 10-13- do it; v 8:14-24- equality; v 9:1-5- be ready; v 9:11-15- recipient gives glory to God;
This would be considered OFFERINGS, except if you can’t find a local church by you that is feeding you ( Storehouse, Gal 6:6 ); Then tithing to a non local church would be profitable, but a local church is front line in God’s kingdom, do to available, domestic, intimate, reasons;
( Lk 8:2-3 )- Joanna, the wife of one of Herod’s the governor’s steward, Mary Magdalene, and Susanna, all supported Jesus with their substance;
( Jn 12:6; 13:29 )- Judas, was in charge of the treasury, among the disciplines, Jesus wasn’t this poor guy financially, to have a bag!
( Matt 8:20; Lk 9:51-58 )- Jesus had no place to sleep because He traveled; He knew He would be here for a short time to do what He had to do, then go back to heaven, why buy a house, car, etc;
( Acts 18:1-3 )- Paul sold tents, so if, and until able to live by gospel ( 1 Cor 9:14 ), WORK!
( 1 Tim 6:18; 1 Cor 9:9; Deut 25:4 )- thou shall not muzzle the ox that tread the corn, God wants His leaders teaching the word taking care of;
AREAS OF GIVING- Family, and bills; ( 2 Thess 3:10; 1 Tim 5:8 );
Seems like a no brainer, but we must take care of family with money, and if you don’t work you don’t eat; I would use wisdom in this area, don’t put to much pressure on yourself, or your family;
Eliminate things you can live without
Avoid leasing as much as possible
Save some money for emergencies, living in financial blessing is better than needing a miracle
He that don’t take care of family is worst than a unbeliever; ( 1 Tim 5:8 )
Saving money for a vacation in not sin, but it is more of a by-product of you taking care of God’s kingdom, and using wisdom with money first; ( Matt 6:33 )
DEBT- avoid debt in the long run, don’t put yourself in a snare owning people ( Prov 6:1-5 ); If it fits TEMPORARILY get a loan, and seek to pay it off a.s.a.p; I don’t think debt is sin, but God doesn’t want us a slave to owning people ( Rom 13:8 ); God tells us to lend, or loan, so it can’t be sin to get a loan, God wouldn’t encourage us to do something that was sin ( Ps 112:5 );
Paying bills, of necessity is biblical ( Rom 13:6-7 );
AREAS OF GIVING- Benevolence, helping poor, etc ( Acts 6; Prov 19:17 );
LEADERS- This would be most the area as a leader that travels, evangelist, prophet, apostle, teacher, that would apply to you; you have responsibilities to manage the ministry, and you can, tithe, give, give to poor, etc, just to sow into good ground; the disciples, and Jesus just gave as they saw fit, and it was returned to them ( Act 2:45; Jn 13:29; Matt 25:34-40; Lk 6:38 );
( Gal 6:6 )- give to ministries that feed you truth, or are about truth;
( Prov 19:17 )- give to poor;
” DeAndre Ivory “- rule of thumb for me is whenever, whoever I learn from, anything biblical, I send, or give them money, at least 5 bucks, mostly always more!
Put some money up to be able to help people, just because they are in need; Jail, short on rent, need a pair shoes, etc; Also, just to be able to give to the poor, buy them a hot meal, a jacket in the winter, etc;
( Eph 4:28 )- God has a heart for the poor, so once again, there is a balance with saving some money for the poor;
AREAS OF STEWARDSHIP- ( Lk 12:42-48; 16:1-13; 19:12-27 );
If not giving, in AREAS listed above, what are you doing with your money;
If giving, but gambling, buying dope, secular entertainment, etc, it off sets the giving power ( 1 Cor 15:33 );
IF STOLEN FROM- If someone steals from you, or a accident, or catastrophe, etc, claim your restitution 7 fold ( Prov 6:31; Ex 22:7; Ps 126:5; New testament, part of your inheritance );
Things to remember!
If You have money, its because God allowed you to have money; if you don’t have money(and your doing Gods will) you don’t need it!
God doesn’t want his people in poverty, read yo word, He wants his people to prosper, God don’t mind Christians having money; He doesn’t want the saints seeking money more than Him, He doesn’t want yo heart to be on money instead of Him
If we Christians have wealth 1.don’t be arrogant; 2. don’t find a sense of security in what we have; 3. share what you have with others
If we Christians don’t have wealth 1. be content with what you have; 2. know that happiness is not found in the things you don’t have 3. that’s not end result
(1 Tim 6: 7-10) “means” despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary most people still believe that money brings happiness. Rich people craving greater riches can be caught in an endless cycle that only ends in ruin and destruction. How can us Christians keep away from the love of money? 1. realize that one day riches will be gone (1 Tim 6:7,17) 2.be content with what you have (1 Tim 6:8) 3. monitor what you are willing to do to get more money (1 Tim 6:9,10) 4. love people more than money (1 Tim 6:11) 5.love Gods work more than money (1 Tim 6:11) 6. freely share what you have with others (1 Tim 6:18)
Don’t hold on to your belongings like a kite, birthday balloon or handle bars to a bike; but hold on to your belongings loosely like how you hold a butterfly, or feed a horse.
Its natural as a human to know and be sure that you know where your next meal is coming from,as well as having your rent and bills paid 5 months in advance, that’s are human nature. Christ wants us to live day by day, because every day is a blessing from God, Your not promised your next breath, so learn to put your trust in Christ, and lean not on your own understanding (Prov 3:5,6) because everyday there are new graces and blessings from God. Alot of times He doesn’t let us see the whole picture, but He has it under control. If you’re going through money problems just remember that tomorrows blessing haven’t come yet so persevere. Amen
Of the 29 parables Jesus told, 16 of them had to do with a person and there money. God talks about money over 2,300 times in the Bible, That tells you how important the decisions, and things we do with money are important to God.
Why put your trust in something printed, and man made. God is much bigger than your money problems, and Jesus defeated all earthly problems including money when he died on the cross, and rose on the third day. If your asking or praying for money and your not receiving a blessing, maybe its because your asking with wrong intentions with fleshly desires.(James 4:3)
(Matt 19:24-26) “means” because it is impossible for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, it appears impossible for a rich person to get into the kingdom of God. Jesus explained, however that “with God” all things are possible. Even rich people can enter the kingdom if God brings them in. Faith in Christ, not in self riches is what counts. What are you counting on for salvation?
(Matt 6:19-21)- treasures in heaven- “means” We store up money in the bank so them or others can steal or scam it from you by bank Robbins, fraud, etc. We store up money at home so people can break into our homes and steal it. Not saying that if you have money in the bank or at home that’s bad, but once again share it , and don’t have a drive to save money for yourself when you can help poorer people. Don’t miss interpret this, its alright to save for a car if you need one or shelter if you need it, just focus mainly on Gods will and storing up treasures in heaven, because God knows what you need, just seek Him first and the Holy Spirit will guide you into making good choices with your money. Amen(Matt 6:33)
(Ecc 5:10)- whoever has money never has enough “means” greater wealth dose not bring satisfaction- This reminds me of people that are poor “say if i had 2 million dollars I’ll be set for life”; no, you’ll spend like you have 2 million dollars, and if you had 2 million dollars you would wish you had 4 million. as it says in (Ecc 5:10) this is meaningless.
(Heb 13:5) “means” He will never leave you in a situation where you don’t come out on top. His will is perfect, and He,s never late. He will never forsake you and leave you hanging, just because its not on your time doesn’t mean He won’t answer yo prayer. To add to that sometimes its good He doesn’t answer some of our request, because it wouldn’t be a blessing, it would be a curse, amen
Necessity of money vs love of (James 5:1-6)- “means” money is not the problem ( just like the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against dark forces, principalities, (Eph 6:12) Christians leaders need money in order to do their work; to help them spread the gospel, support families; Mary Magdalene supported Jesus ministry when He walked the earth (Matt 27:55,56) Church’s need money to do their work effectively, its the love of money that causes some people to sin, Amen
Money only has as much power as you give it. Don’t let this world, and the flesh, along with the enemy, deceive you into being separated from God by chasing money.
Don’t let money tempt you into l, cheating, or manipulating, just to get more, or any. For example don’t lie to get promotions at jobs; Don’t be afraid to represent Christ at your work, even if it cost you your reputation; Don’t Scarface your faith, or integrity, for the love of money (Prov 19:1)
Most humans have a problem with giving, if they don’t get anything in return. That right there shows where yo heart is. The Lord doesn’t look at appearances, He looks at the heart (1 Sam 16:7), so you can’t pretend or fake whats on your heart. So when you give, do it because you feel it on your heart, and not doing it to look good. So don’t give expecting something back! (Lk 6:35)
How you deal with your money reveals what your character is about. If you focus on things that you want instead of things you need, things you can go without vs needs, that reveals once again your heart, and your character; so use and spend it wisely, then without saying much, people will be able to tell your character (Ps 37:21)
( 1 Tim 6:9 ) means – people who chase after money, instead of the will of God, fall into temptation, and into a trap, it’s if the Devil is setting the trap, and he lays money on the trapper, and humans are the mouse, chasing, and focusing only after money ( something printed ), and the Devil shows us something we like, and sets the money trap, and humans more times than not with money get caught; what do people do after the mouse is caught; they throw it to waste, just as God will throw you in the lake of fire, if that’s where yo heart is, and you sin to get it or more, and get caught up in unrepentant sins. don’t be deceived people, don’t chase money, chase the will of God, and God will open doors for you to make money; remember He wants you to prosper, so you will prosper financially, just trust God.
It is said that there are several kinds of money handlers: from the dvd ” Pastor to Pastor “
saver
spender
risk taker ( investment )
security seeker ( spend on something you know you won’t lose your money )
debtor ( credit cards, loans )
flyer ( bills come in hope it all works out )
These are five principles quoted from, Charley Germany, vice president of Ronald Blue & Company
God owns it
maintain long term written goals
avoid use of debt, debt is not a sin it just makes life easier; cars, house payments are considered debt
spend less than you earn
don’t live above means ( don’t live in a house more than you can afford )
These examples are after salvation, meaning while you’re walking in the will of God; meaning if you’ve dug yourself a hole before your walk with Christ ( like myself ) then God promises He will work for the good, and restore bad times for those that love Him ( Rom 8:28 ), so like myself, just trust Christ for all things
( Prov 21:20 )- There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up- KJV ) means- anyone who spends all he has is spending more than he can afford, it’s smart to money people; just pray for wisdom to know what, who, and when to give. God likes a cheerful giver, whether being concerned about the amount of your giving
Give of your first fruits ( the church ), farmers back in ancient times gave the first part of their harvest for offerings, that’s where first fruits come from, we are the first fruits in Gods eyes (Christians), so when that earned check, or money comes, give to the Church first, before bills, personal needs, dinner, etc, and God who promises to take of our needs, ( Matt 6:33 ), ( Philip 4:19 ), not always wants, but needs will open up ways for yours needs to be meant. Trust Christ people, He will never put you to confounded ( 1 Pet 2:6 )
( Acts 4: 34-35 ) people in the early Church sold their land and posses, and gave it to people in more need than them; so take inventory on where your money is being spent
( Ex 34: 26 ) God told people to bring the FIRST of their first fruits to Him; that means in practical modern form; take your tithe out FIRST when you get paid
( Prov 11:28 – He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch – KJV )
Why do the wicked prosper? answer;( Ps 73:1-20 ) means- two strong terms we can take from these scriptures; 1) the wicked prosper, leaving faithful people wondering why they bother to do good: 2) the wealth of the wicked looks so inviting that faithful people may wish they could trade places: but these two terms come to an unexpected end; for the wealth suddenly losses it’s power at death, and the rewards for the good suddenly take ETERNAL VALUE. What seemed like wealth is now waste, and what seemed worthless now last forever. One day the wicked that are rich without Jesus will wish they had your eternal rewards.

Money testimonies
In my past I had accumulated some things that the world will hold you accountable, and I received an unexpected check for my sinful past just out of the blue!, come to find out, some things were done wrong about me, and I received a check for having a past criminal record standing on ( Proverbs 6:31 )
I also was short some money for a family emergency, and stood on ( Phillip 4:19 ), and went to the ATM on night, and had the exact amount I needed to do what I had to do, just appeared there!
Another emergency arose, and I told God, I don’t want to dip in tithe money, because I WANT to tithe, because I love blessing His people, and me and my wife were in bed, and rolled over, and found a sum of money, then minutes later, another sum, and it was the exact tithe amount under our sheets, that wasn’t there all week!
Reading a book about John Lake, and he, and his family left for Egypt with low cash amount, not enough to make it, and they believed God, and some woman meant them at the train station with a place to stay, and money to start them out there
My local church decreased in people about 40 percent, and we as a church body received the largest amount of income with 40 percent less attendance, believing God
The Holy Spirit guided my decisions in a heads or tails game at my employer Christmas party, make a long story short, I won 1900 bucks
