Hos )- ” Author Hosea ” To illustrate God’s love for His sinful people; highlights- ( Hos 1 )- God told Hosea to marry a whoredom to symbolize Israel’s unfaithfulness to God; ( Hos 2 )- Israel punished; ( Hos 3 )- Reconciliation to wife; ( Hos 3:1 )- again Hosea was to be with adulterous woman, to symbolize what Israel was doing; ( Hos 4 )- Israel’s sinfulness; ( Hos 4:1 )- no truth, no mercy, no knowledge of God, in that land; ( Hos 4:6 )- God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; ( Hos 4:12 )- whoredom is a spirit; ( Hos 5 )- Judgment against Israel; ( Hos 6-7 )- Israel unrepentant; ( Hos 6:6 )- God desires mercy, not sacrifice, it’s about the heart, not going through motions; ( Hos 8 )- Reap whirlwind; ( Hos 9-10 )- Israel punished; ( Hos 11 )- God’s love for Israel; ( Hos 11:9 )- God is God, and not man; ( Hos 12 )- Israel’s sin; ( Hos 13 )- Anger against Israel; ( Hos 13:9 )- Israel has destroyed themselves, but in God is help; ( Hos 14 )- Repent to bless;
