This location was named Taberah ("burning").v1- fire from God, v2 Moses interceded fire stopped, v14-15- burden to heavy for Moses, asked God “ kill me "; Miriam, Aaron oppose Moses- ( 12 )- The Complaint (Verses 1-2): Miriam and Aaron speak against Moses because he married a Cushite woman, but their real issue was Moses' singular prophetic role, asking, "Has the Lord spoken only through Moses? Hasn't He also spoken through us?".God's Intervention (Verses 4-9): The Lord summons the three to the Tabernacle, comes down in a cloud, and confronts them, questioning why they weren't afraid to speak against His appointed servant.Miriam's Punishment (Verse 10): As God leaves, Miriam is struck with a skin disease (leprosy), making her skin white as snow. Moses' Plea (Verses 11-12): Aaron confesses their foolishness, and Moses cries out to God, begging, "O God, please heal her!"The Consequence & Resolution (Verses 13-16): God agrees to heal her but requires her to be confined outside the camp for seven days, after which she is restored, and the people move on; Spies incite rebellion- ( 13 ); Wilderness wandering- ( 14 ); Additional regulations- ( 15 ); Korah against Moses and Aaron- ( 16 )- Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and others accused Moses and Aaron of exalting themselves and not allowing all Israelites to be holy and serve God, questioning their authority. Moses proposed a test, he told Korah and his followers to bring censers with incense before the Lord the next day, saying God would show who was holy and chosen. The earth opened up and swallowed Korah, Dathan, Abiram, their households, and their possessions alive. A fire from the Lord then consumed the 250 men offering incense, confirming their rebellion.Aaron's Atonement: Aaron, at Moses' instruction, offered incense to stop the plague, saving the people, though 14,700 died from it.
